Prepare in advance: Read the Environmental Science merit badge book; complete requirements #1, 2, 3B, 3E, 3F, and 6.
Bring: Environmental Science merit badge book and worksheet pages for completed pre-requisite requirements; blue Application for Merit Badge card; camera.
Merit badge requirements covered at workshop: #3A, 3C, 3D, 3G, 4A, and 5.
Boy Scouts are expected to have read the merit badge book and must bring their blue card from their Scoutmaster. Every attempt is made to complete all merit badge requirements during the workshop (if prerequisites have been completed). Merit badges are not given out at the workshop; however, all participants will receive a special Hendricks County Parks Nature Challenge badge! Bring your BSA Environmental Science merit badge book, worksheet, and a camera. Worksheet can be downloaded from https://meritbadge.org/wiki/images/3/3a/Environmental_Science.pdf
ALLERGY ALERT: We may visit our observation honeybee hives with live honeybees for #3G. Please list any known honeybee sting allergies.
Be sure to dress for the weather, as a portion of this program is held outdoors.
