Hendricks County Park and Recreation, through the generous funding provided by the Gary Emsweller Parks and Trails Fund of the Parks Foundation of Hendricks County, now offers the use of two GRIT Freedom 3.0 Mobility Wheelchairs for use by our alternatively abled park patrons. These Mobility Wheelchairs are used on easy-to-moderate hiking trails and can be powered by the rider or their companions. We are proud to offer these for use, free of charge, to anyone wanting to hike in our beautiful parks. They are available for two-hour rentals. We ask that patrons reserve no less than two days ahead of time to make sure we have a chair in the needed location.
